Early 2008 KBF Foundation, in the run up to its official founding, adopted a Primary School from a foundation which ceased its operations. In 2006 Frank & Klaartje de Beer had already been introduced to the school and its deputy and head teacher and took part in the realization of several projects at the school.

 

  • The Nimuyumba Primary School has 284 students, of which 126 girls and 158 boys;
  • The school has 11 classrooms, a teachers' room, and has a water tank;
  • The KCPE results ( cf. CITO test ) for 2015 amounted to an average of 209 points, which is low compared  to the national average but an improvement compared to last year. The number of children participated the test amounted 46.
  • The community of Nimuyumba has around 800 residents.
